This page lists every control you have over your data in DietCoach, and exactly where to find it. For the full picture of what we collect and why, read the Privacy Policy.
We do not sell or share your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under California law (CCPA/CPRA) or comparable state laws. There is no opt-out to request, because there is no sale to opt out of.
The free version does show ads. Your choices over the advertising identifier those ads may use are described below.
AI features
Photos, text and links go to the AI only when you use an AI feature, and only after you allow it. To withdraw or give that permission:
DietCoach → Profile → AI → Share with AI
With it off, you can still search foods, scan barcodes, use Quick Add and create foods and recipes yourself.
Turn off ad tracking
iOS asks whether DietCoach may track you across apps and websites. If you decline, the advertising identifier is not available to us or to our ad provider. You can change your answer at any time:
iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking — find DietCoach and switch it off. To clear the identifier for every app, turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" in the same screen.
Declining changes nothing about how the app works. Any paid plan removes ads altogether.
Control Apple Health access
DietCoach only reads your step count, and only if you allow it. To review or revoke it:
Health app → your profile picture → Apps and Services → DietCoach, or iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → DietCoach.
Camera
The camera is used to scan barcodes and photograph meals, labels and recipes. To revoke it: iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → DietCoach.
Control notifications
Meal and weigh-in reminders are scheduled on your device and can be switched off in the app, under Profile → Notifications, or in iPhone Settings → Notifications → DietCoach.
Delete your account
Profile → Delete Account erases the account and all its data immediately — in DietCoach and in Kaha Trainer, which share the account.
Access, export or correct your data
Write to info@kahatrainer.com from the email address on your account and tell us what you want:
- A copy of your data — we send you an export of your account and nutrition data.
- A correction — we fix or update what is wrong.
- Deletion — if you can't use the in-app option, we delete the account for you and confirm when it is done.
We reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm from the account email address before acting, so that nobody can reach someone else's data.
Usage statistics
Product analytics are recorded under a random identifier created on your device and are not connected to your account. Because they cannot be traced back to you, they cannot be isolated for individual deletion. Deleting and reinstalling the app generates a new identifier and breaks any continuity with the old one.
